Families teaching together, with excellence and faith.

Abide and Bloom is a Christian homeschool cooperative where parents share the work of teaching and discipling their children in core academics, Bible, and enrichment, one day each week.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit.” John 15:5

Our mission

Abide and Bloom Co-op is a group of homeschooling families who share the responsibility of teaching and discipling their children with excellence. We support one another as we honor God in home education, fostering a love of learning and a personal relationship with Christ.

Who we are

Abide and Bloom is a parent-led cooperative and an Arkansas nonprofit corporation, governed by a volunteer board of directors drawn from member families.

We are not a drop-off program. Every parent takes part: teaching a class, assisting in a classroom, or helping with supervision, so the teaching load is shared and children learn alongside each other's families.

  • ~30 students
  • 9 families
  • K–11 grades

What we learn

Students are grouped by grade level. Three core subjects run every year, with electives that change from year to year.

History

A shared historical sequence across age groups, with projects, presentations, and hands-on activities.

Science

Younger students follow the same topics as the older students. Includes experiments and written lab reports for upper grades.

Writing

Grade-appropriate composition and grammar, with assignments managed through Google Classroom.

How we work together

  • Two adults in each classroom wherever practical
  • Parents partner with teachers on expectations and discipline
  • Rotating recess and lunch supervision shared by all families
  • Families clean and reset every room, leaving our host church better than we found it
  • Google Classroom for assignments, so students can stay current from home when needed

Joining Abide and Bloom

We welcome Christian homeschooling families who share our mission and are ready to take part in teaching. New families usually come to us through a current member. The board meets with each prospective family before they join.

A modest semester fee covers our facility and insurance. Families agree to the co-op handbook and take on a teaching or assisting role.
